MB Partners are delighted to announce that two-time DTM champion, Gary Paffett, will make an emphatic return to the elite motorsport series with Mücke Motorsport for the 2021 season.
As one of the most successful drivers in the series’ history, Gary won the 2005 and 2018 championships with Mercedes-AMG and holds a sensational tally of 48 podium finishes, 23 race wins and 17 pole positions. After leaving the championship following Mercedes-AMG’s withdrawal in 2018, Gary’s comeback is one of the most anticipated stories of the season.
Gary will take charge of the team’s #18 Mercedes-AMG GT3 to contest all 16 races of the 2021 season, beginning in Monza on the weekend of June 16th-18th before heading to revered circuits such as Zolder, Nurburgring and the Hockenheimring throughout the course of the season.
“I’m delighted to be returning to the DTM this season,” Gary said. “I’ve deeply missed racing in the series and cannot wait to be back behind the wheel. Despite winning two championships, I feel I still have unfinished business and more to achieve. Teaming up with Mücke Motorsport is an exciting prospect and I very much look forward to working together over the year ahead.”
